Sojourner advocates are available to assist with filing temporary restraining orders in Milwaukee County. The filing process takes about an hour.
Joining the waitlist adds you to a daily virtual 'line.' Once you've joined the list, you can go about your day. If you make it to the top of the list, an advocate will send you a text letting you know they're about to call. We help as many people waiting on the list as possible on a first come, first served basis throughout the day.
The waitlist is cleared at the end of each business day. Anyone remaining on the waitlist at that time will be notified. You will have to join again the next business day
