Lately, we've added some really helpful features that will make managing Waitwhile at scale a breeze for you and your company. It's now easier than ever to set up and configure accounts with hundreds of locations, resources, and services in no time.
And that's not all. We've also made it easier to embed Waitwhile on your website, improved the experience for staff members, and much more.
Let's dive into what's new!

Manage services and resources at scale
Managing services and resources between hundreds of locations just got faster. Now you can bulk edit, assign, deactivate, or delete them — all from Account settings. Plus, new bulk actions in Location settings make it easier to update services and resources at a specific location.

Copy settings across locations
Keeping settings consistent across locations can be time-consuming and error-prone. Not anymore! With our latest update you can duplicate or bulk update settings in just a few clicks — all while staying in control of exactly what gets copied.

Embed Waitwhile more seamlessly
We added more ways to seamlessly integrate Waitwhile’s registration flow or status page into your own website with our new Embed scripts, now with full responsiveness.
This complements the previous iframe embed with a more responsive option — and gives you the flexibility to open the flow in a modal or embed it inline.

Edit resource hours from the Calendar page
Following the release of Schedules, we’re now making it easier for staff members to update their availability.
Edit weekly hours and set one-off or recurring availability — directly from the Calendar page.

Updates to the User and Help menus
We’ve reorganized the User menu and Help menu to make it easier to find support resources.
Help-related options like "Give feedback," "What’s new," and "About" now exist in the Help menu.
But wait, there's (a lot) more!
Here are a few more things we've worked on recently.
Manage users more flexibly
- Support for OpenID Connect (OIDC) for SSO: Customers can now use OIDC as an alternative to SAML for Single Sign-On (SSO), enabling more flexibility based on their internal infrastructure.
- New user permission for “Alert visits”: Separated permissions for sending messages and alerting customers provides organizations with more granular messaging control.
- Connect User to Resource in Account overview: Staff and administrators can now manage resource connections for users directly from Account overview.
- Improved bulk assignment of locations and roles: It's now easier to assign multiple locations and roles to users, as well as assign locations to services and resources.
Customize account and location settings
- Max selection of services in categories: Added a feature that lets users set a maximum limit on how many services customers can select within each service category.
- "Select all" option for batch actions. Apply bulk actions to all matching items in a list, even beyond those displayed on the current page, with one click. Available in Location settings and Account overview.
- Added metadata to more objects: It is now possible to set custom attributes on resources, resource categories, service categories, input fields, users, and location details, directly from the UI, using our Metadata feature. Available for customers using our API.
- Minimum booking notice: Set individual booking lead times for specific services, independent of location-wide scheduling window settings.
- Link shortening configurations: Set up and manage your preferences for link shortening in SMS messages from Account settings.
Give staff more control
- Copy resource booking link: Copy and share booking links easily from each individual resource. Access it from both the resource ellipsis menu and edit resource drawer.
- Show if message is sent with own provider: Easily identify when messages are sent through external providers instead of Waitwhile's native messaging system.
- Values from custom input fields are now searchable: Users can now search for visits by entering values that match their custom input fields.
Enhance the customer registration flow
- Display input field descriptions: Resolved an issue where descriptions for input fields did not display in the registration flow. Now, this works for all custom input field types (except “Policy”).
- Autoscroll on public waitlist/serving pages: If waitlists overflow the device screen, this makes the waitlist automatically scroll through rows of waiting guests. Enabled from the cog wheel on the public waitlist or serving pages.
That’s it for now! You can explore all recent and past updates at updates.waitwhile.com.
Thank you for being a valued customer. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us.
