It's GDPR week! 😀
You've probably received dozen updates these past weeks about the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It's a big deal and I wish we could make ours a bit more entertaining than most. Our lawyers said keep it straightforward though (and lawyers always win).
Here's what's happening for Waitwhile:
- Data protection laws have changed in Europe following the introduction of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- To comply with the new regulation Waitwhile is updating its Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to reflect the new requirements. The new terms now includes our Data Processor Agreement.
- Our Data Processor Agreement include standard contractual clauses that are the mechanism for GDPR-compliant data transfer.
- We've appointed a Data Protection Officer, who can be reached at privacy@waitwhile.com.
- There is no action required by you. By continuing to use Waitwhile, you agree to these new terms of use which will take effect on May 25, 2018.
As always, if you have any questions about any of this just shoot us an email on hello@waitwhile.com. We've also set up a GDPR help page with more info.
Happy privacy (and waitlisting!)
Jonas
CTO, Waitwhile
PS. We think these new privacy rules make a ton of sense and we wholeheartedly support giving you as much control over your data as possible.
